It’s great to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, we will be graduating teachers soon! I have enjoyed the past few years at ACU Strathfield and look forward to the day where I will have my very own class for the year. Having said that, I have enjoyed casual teaching as well!
There are various occupations that have helped me become the person I am today. I am currently a part time Kindergarten teacher at John XXIII Primary School, Stanhope Gardens. Prior to this, I worked in retail for seven years; I also tutor and work with my good friends Sherree and Ingrid (yes, also from Uni!) at Anglicare; we are Vacation Care Support Workers, and Sherree is also the Program Assistant. This is an enjoyable school holiday job which involves working with children aged 5-18 who have a moderate to severe disability. I work with a great team of people! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family… shopping, watching movies, photography, taking Honey out, art and craft… these are just a few of the things I enjoy doing. Oh, and if you want to have a chat about Harry Potter, I love all things Harry Potter! I even visited Platform 9 3/4 during my travels recently…. My family and I are members of the Parish of Blessed John XXIII in Stanhope Gardens, which happens to be the church of the school where I work most.

I’ve just returned from a very enjoyable overseas trip. I went to Singapore, London, Paris and Canada. What a great trip that was! The photo above was actually taken in Disneyland Paris and my header photo was taken at Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, England!
Well enjoy exploring and all the best in your future endeavours!
Kyra
